I remember this great song by the Christian Rock Group, the Allies, with Bob Carlisle (the guy who sang “Butterfly Kisses”), The Devil Is a Liar.
I don’t know. I started to sing this as I was uploading this video here.
A few days ago I blogged sharing that my son accepted Jesus into his heart.
Well I put my new little Flip camera to action and had William share in his own words below…His salvation came about in the midst of his fears from the devil.
I got to go find that song…and play it for William!
This is definitely a Flip Video Moment to Remember!

Nothing like the smell of freshly washed brains! I hope you inform your son of all the other Gods that have been invented by humans over the centuries, too, and how they can all be “welcomed into ones heart”, or imagination, whatever… you wouldn’t want him to grow up closed-minded, I’m sure…
I know you won’t worry about those first 2 lost asshats. God bless you. This blog was linked to reddit.com which is full of ignorant and lost.
and another innocent and receptive brain is destroyed.
Sometimes I wonder if there’s something in the water throughout the Bible Belt which causes you people to be so gullible as to believe such illogical trash.
Bah, if the kid got brains he’ll eventually snap out of this bullshit when he grows older.
This is bordering on child abuse. Putting the fear of an imaginary, fake, but utterly terrifying “devil” into the mind of a small child like this is sick.
Child abuse. Pure, straight up brain washing child abuse. You should be locked up.
Proverbs 23:13: “Withhold not correction from the child: for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die.”
Wow….What a blast of comments on a simple video.
I guess it was a good thing I didn’t have my camera out as my son asked me to pray with him and then we read together Romans 10:9:
“that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
You don’t believe in the Word?
Ok then, I guess I can understand your negative comments.
Faith is difficult to explain.
I’ll keep my faith in Jesus.
Train up a child in the way they should go…. Theresa, it amazes me the hatred spewed by folks that choose not to believe. So very sad and thank you for sharing this special moment with us.
He made the decision himself.
For some reason that is difficult for some to grasp.
Here is faith….literally a child’s faith…Sorry you don’t see it that way.
I guess it’s hard to explain to someone who does not know Jesus how real this is to my son. You can’t see him at night reminding me to say our bedtime prayers or to hear his precious voice pray the 23rd Psalm at night with such conviction, now after being a Christian and experiencing trauma of losing his home.
That’s ok. Jesus is real to him….and to me.
We will pray for you.
God bless your family and keep you.
If you manage to wade through the other sad comments to get to this one, I just want to encourage you in your faith. It is precious and the most important thing in life. It is why we are here..to grow in our connection to God and learn to live as extensions of Him and His love.
Bobcat. My son loves Christmas. He gets to blow out Jesus’ candles on the birthday cake.
Santa who?
Todd and Martha and Downstream:
Thank you for wading through the comments and negative blasts to speak encouragement and the Word.
I will NOT deny my faith.
William said he is glad HE MADE the decision to be a Christian.
